Résumé: This course serves as a comprehensive and practical resource specifically designed to enhance the preparedness of Licence students pursuing studies in the field of Cognitive Psychology practices. It aims to equip students with the essential knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to navigate the complexities of cognitive processes and their applications in real-world scenarios. Throughout the course, students will engage with a wide array of topics that describe how cognitive processes shape our interactions with the world around us. They will acquire a comprehensive understanding of key concepts, themes, challenges, and empirical studies within contemporary cognitive theory. This includes an examination of how we perceive stimuli from our environment, interpret those stimuli to make sense of our experiences, modify our responses based on new information, utilize cognitive strategies to navigate complex tasks, and retain information over time. The curriculum will also emphasize the importance of empirical research in cognitive psychology, encouraging students to critically evaluate studies that have contributed to our understanding of cognitive processes. By analysing various research methodologies, students will learn how cognitive psychologists design experiments, collect data, and draw conclusions about the workings of the mind.
