Résumé: This module aims to introduce the student to the design, analysis, and verification of reinforced concrete (RC) structures in accordance with the current standards and regulations (Eurocode 2, RPA, BAEL, etc.). The objective is to acquire a global approach to the structural project, from the architectural conception to the verification of the stability and strength of the different elements. This course is divided into five chapters: The first chapter: “Structural frameworks in reinforced concrete”, which presents the general principles of RC structural design in order to better understand how to conceive a coherent and safe structural framework. The second chapter: “Design of shallow foundations in reinforced concrete”, which deals with the sizing of foundations in direct contact with the ground. In the following chapter, piles and pile groups are studied, used when the surface soil is weak; Chapter III: “Design of deep foundations in reinforced concrete.” The fourth chapter: “Design and calculation of retaining walls”, and finally, Chapter V: “Design of slabs”, which concerns the horizontal elements of the structure. The course “Project of Reinforced Concrete Structures” enables the student to integrate the principles of conception, analysis, and design of a complete structure. It constitutes an essential basis for final-year projects (PFE) and for engineering works in the fields of buildings, bridges, and civil engineering structures.
