Abstract

This Mathematics I booklet is intended for first-year students in Materials Science and Technology. It provides a rigorous and gradual introduction to both analysis and algebra, combining theoretical concepts with corrected exercises. The first part focuses on analysis (set theory, real functions, limits, continuity, inverse functions), while the second part covers algebra (algebraic structures, vector spaces, and linear applications). The main objective is to develop solid mathematical intuition and prepare students to apply these concepts in physics and other scientific disciplines.
