This includes an examination of how we perceive stimuli from our environment, interpret those stimuli to make sense of our experiences, modify our responses based on new information, utilize cognitive strategies to navigate complex tasks, and retain information over time. The curriculum will also emphasize the importance of empirical research in cognitive psychology, encouraging students to critically evaluate studies that have contributed to our understanding of cognitive processes. By analysing various research methodologies, students will learn how cognitive psychologists design experiments, collect data, and draw conclusions about the workings of the mind.
